Challenge

The client wanted to improve operating efficiency of its human resources department by adopting a SharePoint intranet portal in order to cater to their 600+ global workforces. The primary objective of the intranet site was to act as a document repository and to allow for a rich interface where employees can access, manage and exchange HR related data and documents with unique permissions. In addition, the client wanted to provide as much information as possible to employees and/or facility to search documents through a centrally search capability.

Solution

Key focus on user experience and adoption

Our objective was to provide a unified environment to all employees – a common destination point regardless of business unit, location, geography– that would engage the entire enterprise and enable employees to have a structured access to information and foster relationships with others outside of their primary location. To deliver this, our team of SharePoint experts created a unified HR intranet portal, using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, an intuitive, ubiquitous portal that seamlessly brings employee information on the intranet. With easy to navigate, directed content and applications, the HR portal centralized and streamlined access to important information, and was tailored to ensure maximum ease of use and adoption by end users, content contributors, and IT administrators.

  • The portal acted as a one-stop solution for all HR requirements, whether it was HR documentation, intra-office transfers, leave of absence, announcements, employee on-boarding or employee benefits.
